Cuisinart DCC-1200 Brew Central 12-Cup Coffeemaker Brushed Metal - Factory Refur

Still my favorite coffee maker.

I've owned this model (DCC-1200) since it was first introduced quite some time ago. I have been replacing it with the same model since then. I have ALWAYS loved the design and features. The top feature for me is the auto shut off warmer, no more "accidents" being left on. It brews coffee at least as well or better then any other drip coffee maker AND it keeps it at just the right temperature. It has a large 12 cup capacity AND a very small footprint for its size. On top of that, it really does look good. When I look on the store shelf's it is easy for me to see how this particular Cuisinart model has had a big influence on the designs by other brand makers over the years which I think tells a story of it's own.

Best Smart Charger In It's Class

I've kept an eye on rechargeable batteries and smart chargers for a long time and finally took the plunge and made the investment. I've compared with the Maha and LaCross chargers and found the Opus V2.2 is not only the best value, but also the best choice among smart chargers of this size used primarily for AA and AAA batteries (C and D batteries being optional). This unit has been refined and there are NO quirks using the interface or of "endless" button pushing required by some others. It offers just about any option you could want in charging, measuring capacity and "restoring" you could want in a charger and it does it well at any practical charge/discharge rate you could want and does it as easily as can practically be done with four independent charging slots. Also, I have to date, found no heat issues at all using this unit, which speaks well of its electronics and the build quality seems very good as well. The Opus 2400 V2.2 has lived up to everything it promised with no surprises.
