Guitar coil winders check this:- Apart from the obvious need to adapt the main shaft to suit pickup bobbins, it is very snatchy on the 8x speed, as the gears are not particularly smooth, so it breaks the 42 and 43 AWG wire all the time. 8000 turns at 1:1 ratio is a no no as far as I am concerned, so I motorised it, direct driving the shaft with a band and pulley system and only using the gears for driving the counter. It works really well with a 12v motor, speed control and foot switch. Definitely better than building from scratch. Really good value for money.

On the whole fab value for money. Rhythm sounds are good, and it is very easy to use.
`PROS: Good sounds and software works a treat:) (The Zoom G1 Four softwae failed on both my laptops) Works with ASIO4Alll so no need to install the Valeton drivers if you already have ASIO4All installed. Comes with power supply and USB lead. (G1 Four doesn't, nor does it record direct via USB!) CONS: Several effects can be chained, but many types are listed under the same tab, and you can only use one effect type from each tab, so some desirable combinations are not possible. The compressors don't have a slow attack facility, so you can't get a violining effect from it. On the whole fab value for money. Rhythm sounds are good, and it is very easy to use.
