Works Great!
This remote system works great. I forgot my tripod while shooting the Perseid meteorite shower last weekend so I set my camera on the roof of my car and this remote still worked even while I was sitting in the car. I haven't tested out exactly how far away I can get from it but it works well even from about 20-30ft out as well. It was easy to figure out even with horribly translated instructions, too. All in all, worth the purchase price.

For someone who is slightly more serious about photography than your standard user but still not a professional photographer by any means, this is the perfect camera. It has the size and weight of a full frame DSLR with the menus and options to match, but still boasts the crop sensor that's more forgiving for a semi-amateur and supports a larger array of lens options. As with any semi-pro camera, it takes some time to fully learn what all the buttons are and what they do, but once you spend the time to figure this camera out, you will be more than happy with your photos. I've had two of these in the past, and after my first one I tried to upgrade to the D7200 but found that I honestly preferred the menus and quality of the D7100, so I returned the 7200 and went back to this. Pair it with a quality Nikkor lens and you can't go wrong.

1 of 1 found this helpful This dashcam has very clear, wide video and great audio. The sleek design with a flush mount almost hides it from view outside of the vehicle, though the white tape it comes with could give it away - I just mounted mine close to the rearview mirror where the darkest piece of shade band is and you can't see it when you look at the car. If you have a vehicle with a power charger that turns off and on with the engine, this dashcam is pretty much plug in and forget about it. If your charger doesn't do that, you will have to remember to unplug it yourself. It has lots of features that I love, like the loop recording with different length options and a G-sensor that locks the current video if it detects a collision! Some of them have known issues but Rexing has released firmware updates that take care of these, so definitely make sure to check out their website to see if any issues you may be experiencing have an update already before returning it or complaining to the company. It is definitely worth the purchase price.
