Compelling reading!! You won't be able to put it down.
This is a fantastic book about the rescue od POWS from the Japanese. When you realize the Japanese were murdering our soldiers and civilians in their losing hours, some by burning them alive, this story becomes even more important. This copy replaces the one I loaned out years ago and was never returned to me. It's a must have for all military collections. Dramatic "you're right there with them" narrative. Well written. I'd love to find hardcover edition but I know I couldn't afford it as ANY copies of this book are becoming more scarce.

Saw the book at wildlife reserve. The wife loved it and searched on line for copy. Found great one on E bay. Great pictures and bird songs recorded to
