The perfect post-disaster show, always left me wanting more.
Should have never ended the series! One of the better shows on television in quite awhile. Have both Seasons 1 and 2 and watch them regularly. The show is not so much about survival but about relationships and personalities. A breakdown of society at every level, would be stressful to say the least. This show allows us to see even the simplest things (roof over your head, food and water, and security) are nearly impossible to come by unless you are always prepared.

Deadwood - The Complete Series (DVD)
The only thing anyone could dislike about the series of Deadwood is that it ended far too soon. Cost of production as well as actors scheduling conflict led to the demise of perhaps one of the best shows of all time. As soon as the opening credits roll, you are immediately transferred back in time. The scenery is one of best parts of Deadwood. This is what the old west was like. Too many westerns have the classic dusty towns. The town of Deadwood is as dirty as the dealings. Everyone should take the time and watch this series. As far as television goes, it is to westerns as Band of Brothers is to war. Simply put, 5 BIG STARS! In the immortal words of Al Swearingen, "Welcome to F_ _ _ _ _ G Deadwood!"
