Euro boxes for storage -perfect!
Bought 3 to use as storage in my van. They arrived safely packed and very clean. You could hardly tell they were used. Good strong construction and will probably last a lifetime. Fully recommend them and might buy some more for my shed!

Lanky Deluxe Nov 2017
1 of 1 found this helpful For several years I've been using a high grade japanese whetstone, which if you are a hand-sharpening Jedi is no doubt capable of giving great results. I fall more into the chewbacca category of dexterity so getting reliable and consistent results with different knives was frustratingly difficult for me.
After weighing up for several months I decided to treat myself to the deluxe version of this knife sharpening kit. I've no regrets... it gives precisely the control over the angle that I longed to achieve by hand.
After a quick look at some online instructional videos and a rummage in the drawer for something really blunt to sharpen i tried the lansky kit on a very blunt swiss army knife blade. 20ish minutes later I could shave the hair on my forearm (a particularly masculine demonstration of sharpness currently in vogue). I was impressed.
Just a couple of small things to point out. Firstly the guide rods that come in the kit are fairly easily bent when removing from their retainers in the box. I have left them loose so not to unnecessarily bend them.
Secondly consider taking a photo of the position of your blade so when next sharpening you can recreate the exact same position in the clamp and thus the angle which the stones grind the blade.
I was pleased enough with the kit to purchase one for a good friend of mine.
