Lumix DMC-FP8 . lovely camera
3 of 3 found this helpful I read many reviews before buying this camera and haven't been disappointed. The camera is a great size small enough for a pocket. The functions are easy to navigate and the pictures are good quality. The lens does not extend as it operates inside the camera which I particularly like as there is less to get damaged or dust inside. Has many different presets scenes to use including snow which has been very useful this year. You can turn many of the functions on and off so you can use it in intelligent mode where all you need to do is point and shoot or adjust many of the settings yourself. The only downfall is I haven't been particularly impressed with the accompanying software. I've found it a lot better to use some I already possess. Also as the movies are HD I found my microsoft software that is on the computer won't read it. I have had to download a free programme off the internet to read them, or by using apple quicktime. This is OK as long as you are aware of it; as otherwise it is frustating if you let windows transfer the pictures from the camera to your computer only to find that the movies aren't there and if you move them manually you can't read them until you use another programme. Hope this helps. All in all a lovely camera

Not very robust
Didn't quite meet the mark. Unfortunately one of the cross members at the bottom broke quite quickly, which then created a problem with it standing upright. So we gave up on this after about an hour :-(
