Heavyweighter
5 of 5 found this helpful The Celestron 25x100 Skymaster is a great binocular for watching constellations and other celestial objects stretching out. It covers 3 dg of the sphere.
For terrestial observations, you are moving really close to you object. It has to be noted that you have to be at a reasonably distance (+ 2-300 m) in order to focus. But anyway, with such a large binocular, you are not watching objects next to you.
On top of that it catches a lot of light. So a very good instrument to the price.
I had mine with a small Hama tripod. It proved insufficient.
The Skymaster is a heavyweight.
It is to heavy to hold in your hands, even when you support your elbows.
So you have to consider a heavy duty tripod or other support for observation.

Not precise!
The compasses are in no way precise.
The 12 compasses would show 12 different directions to the north.
