Poor quality control
The unit was constantly "ringing" when the batteries were installed regardless of the pushbutton position. I thought the pushbutton was defective so disconnected it from the unit. It was still ringing. I assume that there was a short on the electronics board.
Apparently it was not tested before shipment.

Lock replacement on Givi E45
I purchased this lock cylinder for an old Givi E45 case which I acquired without the proper keys. Replacement of the cylinder was pretty easy once I figured how to reassemble the latch and 3 associated springs. Make a note of how it all goes together while you are disassembling the unit to install the new cylinder. I wish I had!
Works great, very pleased.
