!!Going Places!! Herb Alpert And The Tijuana Brass Vinyl Record

Uplift and jolly sounds
This review is about the music. Please note, this only relates to the vinyl record version of this album - it does make a huge difference. Overall the music is happy and uplifting. It is only instrumental, no singing. But the brass sound is excellent - definitely in the genre of a strolling Mexican band. True that probably doesn't sound inspiring, but there is a strong back beat which gives it a greater focus and enables parts of your body to move with it! The musicianship is excellent and the recording / pressing is, as an original, of a high quality. I don't think it will be on my desert island list of records, but I would recommend it. As Herb is not a high profile musician used records are typically cheap which makes it good value.

Very well made, quality materials used. Good adjustability although they do clamp tightly to your head so can feel constricted over a long listening period. But this does help to keep noise out. I believe these were originally £270, which is not cheap. I bought my set after they were discontinued and paid 90 for a new set. I would say I have gift bargain of my hi fit buying life! The sound is superb. Even when using Spotify to stream I can hear a difference over my old AKGs. Would I recommend them at the full price? That’s a difficult call as I wouldn’t spend that much. But I feel very lucky to be able to use these headphones. Would be worth seeking out a used pair as you can change the ear piece unit - check out the sennheiser web site.
