Great Ear Protection, weak connector

The actual headphones are perfect and very effective for protecting little folks ears. The plastic connector across the head is too brittle for this application. I have a bunch of regular wired stereo headphones (that I paid much less for) and none have broken. In both pairs I bought, they broke the first day of use on my 7mo old grandson. I fixed both pairs with Gorilla Glue and Gorilla tape to re-inforce and they are both back in service. The heavy tape allows for greater pliability without breaking. A metal band would be perfect; a stronger plastic band would be greatly appreciated.
