A proper video recorder.
In this day of throw away electronics it is nice to own something from a time where the serviceman still had a local shop and the workbenches where full of phillips and ferguson tv sets made in Britain......then came along the vcr. These jvc based machines are superb the picture quality will dance all over later Chinese and Korean machines. Only 2 head mono. Although there was a stereo version. The whole unit is built with discreet components making it completely repairable even today in 2017. Later units had surface mount ic technology which saved loads of space but made the machine virtually throw away when it failed. These early ferguson units both piano key and electronic servo drive will outlast any newer machines. I would recommend picking them up while you can as at over 30 years old the youngest one they are getting harder to find. Many where broken up and scrapped when the cheaper models started flooding the market in the 1990s most of these machines didn't last and many of the old ones outlasted the new models. I am a television repair man and although modern technology is very good and advanced it is certainly not repairable like these units ince where. Bob Terry.

I bought a pair of these a year ago to use at small partys and events, they where pretty bright and ive found they have ended up being used at everything all year, they are so cheap they paid for themselves after two discos, I have used them master slave for the last year at everything from kids partys to weddings and no one has said they dont like them, made loads of return on what is basically a cheap effect.
