3/5 Good album just missing something to make it great
With Supersexy Swingin' Sounds it's a collection of ten remixes of songs from Astro-Creep: 2000, plus a new mix of their cover of KC & the Sunshine Band's "I'm Your Boogie Man" Not quite as experimental or dance-oriented as they would like to be, White Zombie have always flirted with industrial and disco, but at their core they are a metal band.
With this album it's a love or hate feeling with it i like it as some tracks are really creative how they did it but on the other side you look at it and say i perfer the orginal they did there was no need for a remix, i would say buy the album for your white zombie collection but dont waste too much money on it.

This record is my personal favorite from the band that defined metal throughout the nineties, and definitely stands the test of time. I only have a gripe with the album as a whole, In certain songs the vocals seem to be low in volume compared to the guitar, bass, and drum tracks. Other than this the album is excellent. Phil Anselmo is in his vocal prime on this album, releasing low growls or high pitched, falsetto, Halfordesque screams. Dimebag's guitar work is top notch on this release playing some of the best riffs in metal, and playing awesome solos all over the fretboard.
Songs to listen to are:
Cowboys From Hell
Shattered
The Art of Shredding
Pyscho Hoilday
The Sleep
Cemetery Gates
These tracks stand out by far the album itself well 20 years on its still recommanded by metal fans and famous guitarists to listen to
If you don't believe me look out there at other reviews this album is an album that changed the view of Metal and they became my fav band due to this album as well as the future ones.

The vocals from Jesse David Leech are top notch for Metalcore and have surprising range, on such tracks as "The Element of One" and "My Last Serenade". The guitar work is very consistent throughout Alive Or Just Breathing. Adam Dutkiewicz and Joel Stroetzel both are very talented musicians, and show great diversity in their playing.
