Joe Jackson
1 of 1 found this helpful MFSL did a fantastic job remastering this Joe Jackson gem. As to know, MFSL recordings do not come cheap, but everyone should own a few of these in their collection. Your ears will love you for it.

In similar fashion to Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab remasters, DCC also went to extreme lengths to provide super clean recordings with plenty of depth and detail. This Bachman Turner Overdrive recording was done in the early 70's at a time in which you might get 50 or 60 plays from an album before the stylus devoured the grooves and ultimately began to sound very opaque. DCC took to task that very distinctive "growl and rumble" of Turner's bass and Bachman's guitar work and made it shine like brand new. There are other less expensive remastered versions of just about anything, which makes purchasing MFSL and DCC on the secondary markets a bad value. I am NOT a collector of MFSL or DCC for the sake of "collection." I listen to my music, and cringe when I read a "Still Sealed" remark in the description. I don't buy it. Just get me a disc that is in good condition with readable liner notes and I am fine. This DCC remaster of "Not Fragile" is some of DCC's best work and I recommend it, especially if your stereo has a sub-woofer.

Virtually the same as the name brand without the insane price.
