It worKs
1 of 1 found this helpful It fitted my Siemens phone but the cable was a slightly different length from the original so it needed to be routed differently - not a problem. I have no idea if its capacity is really 650mAh but it's a lot more than that of the 9 year old battery that it replaces and that's good enough for me.

Very compact voice recorder and very easy to use.
This is my second UX543 to replace one I had earlier and a more recent model - the UX560 - which I had bought as an earlier replacement but seem to have lost. That is the downside - these are quite tiny.
The sound isn't exactly bad, but the frequency range is quite limited - which is fine for speech, but not great for music. And the speaker is ridiculously tiny, but it suits me fine for reminding myself of songs as I'm learning them. For more serious listening I play it through a roper audio system.
The 'battery life' is an interesting question. As long as the battery is in good condition it lasts a good time. But the batteries in my previous UX543 packed up and can't reasonably be replaced. I did dismantle it to find the batteries (not simple!) but couldn't then find spares and I could see that putting it back together was going to be a real challenge.
Basic operation is simplicity itself. Slide the on-off switch to switch on; one-press on record button to begin recording (whatever mode it was in); slide on-off switch back to prevent inadvertent button-presses.
While nominally the same size as the later UX560, it feels - and looks - smaller, because of the rounded edges and corners.

Simple & effective
1 of 1 found this helpful I wanted a straight, vertical, stable stand (actually for a recorder rather than a straight mic). This does the job.
However, I have since discovered a 'stackable' version of the same basic design. This has a segment cut out of the base so one stand base can sit on top of another, with the lower stand fitting into the cutout of the higher. I find that more convenient with a music stand and easier to carry around and store.
But this plain circular version will be perfectly adequate for most people - and it seems to be well made.
