Marples (Irwin) chisel set - worthwhile purchase
I grew up respecting good quality tools & when I needed a basic working set of chisels, I naturally looked for Marples. My research led me to understand that the better chisels for me to buy would be those that are ‘vintage’ steel - however, unless you want to spend an inordinate amount of money to get a ‘vintage’ set - you would be hard pressed to find a set of better value for the quality. Sure they’re sharp out of the box - but they need ‘backing off’ & a composite angle adding to them - but I’ll be honest - for the money - SPOT ON. Only criticism is that the extra 2 chisels are added into the box which means they don’t fit comfortably … but hey, that’s my OCD kicking in !
Summary - I do not regret purchasing these one iota - great value - Bob 👍

Fantastic value - terrific to use
I had a similar pair of ratchet loppers which I purchased from a well known German retail store 😉 which I really loved ... until one day I dropped them and by a sheer fluke they landed on the blade & it broke .... 😫
I tried everywhere but was unable to find a replacement
Then I saw these and thought I’d take a chance .... boy was I glad I did 😃 ... they are just as good as I was used to (in fact - better, as the handles adjusted easier !)
These ratchet loppers are fantastic value, great to use, do exactly as they claim (& more)
If I can get a spare blade (in case I have the misfortune to do the same again ... then they would be just perfect 100% ... no questions asked ... LOL)
I cannot imagine any purchaser being disappointed with these 😁
