Not "velvet" but like everything else!
1 of 1 found this helpful Because I love the phrase, color, embroidery, I am keeping. The fabric is not real velvet, but a type of lightweight microsuede. Disappointing but houses my tallit beautifully. Quality construction.

Let Your Personal Artistic Style Shine!
1 of 1 found this helpful I discovered this book at our local library. When I came to the end of allowable renewals, I decided to buy so I could continue the easy to follow lessons. I made a commitment to buy the recommended supplies suggested. The price of the book and supplies is well worth the investment when you consider the cost of art classes. With the book you can go at your own pace. I plan to take some classes in the future but wanted to be well acquainted with some basics this book offers. I especially like that the author shares "testimonials" of other students. She shows examples of how different artists interpret the same subject. You are immediately encouraged to be yourself and let your own personal style come forth; not to compare yourself to others rather to critque your own work with a more gentler eye! I felt like an "Artist" from the beginning of the book and not looking to WHEN I would become one. I really like this book and highly recommend it.
