A beguiling film but not to everyone's taste
1 of 1 found this helpful The attention to detail is impressive. It flows naturally and seems like an exceptionally realistic depiction (warts and all) of medieval life. Was constantly surprised at the myriad of tiny wee features that were added - most often for no particular reason. The shots are very long so it has a good flowing pace that is easy to get swept along with. There are numerous characters with unique features (physical and emotional) and all the bit parts (of whom there are hundreds) seem to often get involved (such as walking up and starting directly at the camera). The realism is exceptional and consequently this is a VERY dirty film. I mean by that everything is covered in filth, everybody walks thru and eats in filth. Every other person seems to be firing out snot or picking their noses whilst eating in a pile of dung next to a dead dog and hanging corpse. It's just as well this film is in B&W as if it was colour it might be sickening. The main actors do a good job and get involved in their characters. However despite all these positive points I suspect the vast majority would not enjoy this film as the plot can be confusing and it's not what people might expect. It is not an action film or an adventure or a war film (despite the fact that the main character spends the majority of the film carrying enough weapons to take on an army). It's a journey through various characters. This is def not my kind of film but I enjoyed it regardless because it is unique.

Easy to use, boils well, large capacity, looks great
A very attractive kettle, looks great in the kitchen. Big capacity, solid, boils relatively quickly.
