Excelent Value for Money
2 of 2 found this helpful Having used this for two months now and considering what we paid for it, it's amazing value.
We had American visitors who are used to having coffee on tap so we bought this as a short term solution.
However it is well built, so far very reliable & looks like it will last for years. We have compared it with the bean to cup machines in John Lewis. Unlike the JL models this only does filter coffee but is a fraction of the price.
It takes a bit of getting used to and we have had a few pots of weak coffee.
Warnings
1. You will have to find the coffee beans you like by trial and error and then adjust the grind and strength to your liking.
2. If you overfill the hopper or don't get the beans loaded in a certain way it doesn't grind enough coffee & you get a weak brew.
3. It has it's own re-usable filter so you don't actually need filter papers but this is messy when disposing of the used coffee. We are using filter papers we already have, as this make disposal easier, but have to cut or fold them to size. Would be good if you could buy filter papers made to fit the machine.
BUT if you like freshly ground filter coffee don't waste your money on a machine costing £200 -£300, buy one of these.
