Built like a brick and amazing quality for the money
If I'd never heard my Quad 909/Feliks Elise tube pre combo before I heard this amp, I would have not looked for anything better. I was just looking for a cheap, cool running class D amp to use during the day so that I didn't burn my tubes out unnecessarily, and to conserve electricity. What it manages to do for its size is astonishing, and its clean, sweet-sounding delivery has real muscle behind it when it needs it - probably down to the huge toroidal transformers for each channel. It's a seriously good piece of kit. My 140wpc, £1500-worth of posher amplification is lusher and more expansive, with more slam. But seriously, not a LOT more. Looks like the world of amplification is changing fast - this is an amazing bargain and capable of holding its own against quite stiff competition.
