Yankee quality

Exactly as shown
I thought these dies would make fun decorations for the Christmas tree but unfortunately I haven’t had enough time to make them. I have made one, a prototype and have learnt from that process. My card was too thick so next time I would use a thinner card stock for more flexibility when it comes to fixing together. I made the larger one and think that’s probably a good idea to start with as the smaller one is going to be more fiddly so knowing exactly what I’m doing will help. I think this is a cute design, I chose it because it reminds me of decorations we had on our family Christmas trees when I was growing up. I’d like to use sparkly pipe cleaners for the handles but that’s only my thought. These would make fun favour boxes for a variety of occasions too.

Traditional design die
A typical sizzix brand item, great quality and this design is very versatile. You can choose to use one of the strip dies on its own or build up your design to incorporate all of them if you wish. I feel it adds a ‘knitted jumper’ feel to card designs. I found the dies easy to use all taped with washi tape to my card, to stop them moving, and they cut in one pass. I used them like this with the precision base plate. I found using a die brush over the dies helped to remove the tiny pieces from the card stock and the die itself. A fabulous traditional design that I don’t think will date.
