Coleco memories of years gone by!
I would have to agree with all you folks here! The Colecovision was ahead of it time by far!Sadly 1984 came along the video game market crashed,the rest is history!Growing up we had the Intellivision model 2609 with an extensive line of games and believe me we played the crap outta that master component&then some! The neighbor kids, had a colecovision,&I'll tell ya boy was that thing fun to play!Way better graphics than the popular atari 2600 at the time, better than the intellivision,Alotta the arcade classics too, Logged a great many hours with the neighbor kids when we had a chance, Mr.Do (A personal favorite),Zaxxon,&Gorf to name a few, what a blast them games where,Yeah the controllers where a little akward but once ya got use to them it was a blast! A very attractive console at the time, If I remember right the games For the coleco vision console weren"t priced much higher than either Atari or Intellivision at the time,It's a shame more people didn't have one in the household than there where at the time. Hard tellin where this console with the available games could of ended up today,could of been interesting,I'd go as far to say it would have probably given the NES,Sega,even the Super Nes,A run for the money!Its a classic gaming console for the ages folks! no doubt about it! The Men&Women at Coleco knew what they had when this gaming console hit the market! They did really good! They should have been proud!
