Top quality and authenthic design
I believe this is the first time i brougth an official merchiandise for Star Trek, that has the look, detail and quality compared to what it looks like on the show. SO many time have I been dissapointed with bad toy-like plastic merch with paint ment ro resemble metal etc.
I usually end up with buying something expensive cutom made, or some onoffical merch, but i believe in actually supporting the designers and the show.
This is the real deal, and I believe the only diffrence, if any, to the ones worn by the actors on the show, might be that those must be less shiny not to reflect to much of the sets lightening. This does however means they look pretty dull and matte in ordinairy lights. It has great details, and looks like a more expensive jewlevery close up, than it actually is.
It is supported/held in place by 2 magnets on a back piece with the same shape as the badge. It feels way more secure than other magnet solutions, and I will trust this to be more secure not to drop off, than hte ones supported by a pin/needle, velcro or only one magnet, The 2 magnets also keeps it in place, my other combadges with magnets for TNG/DS9/VOY would slide off position over some time. This can be attached to your uniform/shirt once, and keeps in place untill you disattatch it. Its total weight is as epected, but is kept low at the actual front piece by this being hollow (exept for the 2 magnets) and the back piece acting like a lid, but only toucing the front piece with the magnets,

Great all-around strap
This should be standard accessorie from Canon, Nikon, etc.
Its so much more convenient than other straps for your wrist, and its easy to deatch. I have a regulair Rapid strap for the camera when i need it to be hanging, and then this strap can be clicked off. leaving the wrist part as a bracelet.
Especially when you want to use your DSLR in crowds and be able to lift it up high, this is a must-have, either just as it is or combined with another form of strap. I now cannot believe how I was ever able to work without it.
Update: I even had to buy a second one for my other camera i use in private. Its good not only for professional photography as photojournalism, weddings or concerts but also just for private photos.
