Oh the halcyon days of Boot Camp.
As a former service member who remembers his days in Boot Camp with a certain wry fondness, this fil was a largely humorous send up of those days.

An intriguing take on contemporary fringe culture in America
It's a wide ranging and interesting take on some of the strangest Americans it has been my good fortune not to meet. I applaud Mr. Watters for his invitation and willingness to explore the outer reaches of the present social construct of our nation. Though he can be sarcastic and dismissive, he nonetheless generally writes well and to the point.

The title is fine, the text of the volume is lacking.
I said it was a good value primarily for the recent relatively low price, but that is a function of being a used book. The deeper I got into it, the more I was disturbed. The author in defense of her Libertarians views, she expressed some odd notions. As to readability she was repetitive and hammered the same talking points multiple times. As a writer myself, I felt despite her best selling status as an author, she lacks a natural narrative gift.
