Gloriously ott - and NOT to be taken seriously!
This would be aimed at those who saw this series in '60s and feel that pull of nostalgia... The product itself was delivered in good time (before the due date) and was well packaged and therefore undamaged. The presentation (each series boxed within an overall box set) was convenient and neat. I haven't finished watching the whole lot, I'm nearing the end of the first series, but the discs play flawlessly. So far, the episodes have been in black and white, but I think they transition to colour later on. The characterisations may seem a tad naive to today's sophisticated audiences, but I love the over-the-top acting and cheap sets and the lack of taking it seriously (think early Star Trek...) I relish the pigeon-holed acting - the men acting super-macho and the women being confined to kitchen duties, the children being super-polite and, of course, the excellent Jonathan Harris portraying the pantomime-evil Dr Smith - Oh, the pain! Yep, I'd recommend this to previous fans of this genre.

Great courtroom drama!
Very good film! The actors are all wonderful, from Charles Laughton's grumpy, hugely-experienced barrister, resentful of his nurse's attentiveness (engaging played by Elsa Lanchester) to Marlene Dietrich's deceptive witness and Tyrone Power's credible defendant. The story contains surprises and has a shock twist at the end. It is principally a courtroom drama and is hugely entertaining, and well worth watching!
