Not good item bad sound

Bad sound quality, always hearing an interface as soon as it is plugged in. Tried in other cars same issue. Tried connecting to different devices same issue. Bought this item as a gift for someone as I have my own. The one I bought for the gift is awful and sound no were near good as mine. I think the item is faulty
