HOFNER VIOLIN BEATLE BASS GUITAR Left Handed GREAT VINTAGE STYLE HI-BB-L-SB

I Love This Bass

My name's Paul and I play a left handed bass. However, I'm not a Beatle and my last name isn't McCartney. I mainly play at my church. I have a five string Raven that I have had for about 10 years now and wasn't sure how I'd like the Hofner... My Raven has been in its case since I received the Hofner. I love being able to select the tone of the guitar simply by flipping a switch or two rather than trying to find a sweet spot with a knob. I've used that feature several times... even within a song; ie: chorus to the bridge and back. The semi-hollow body has such a great sound to it no matter what tone option I choose. The thin neck is great for my smaller hand and the action is set perfect, thanks to the pros at Barry Clark music... the ebayer that I purchased the bass from. At first, I was going to purchase a Hofner impersonator (mainly because they were cheaper) but after reading their reviews, I'm glad I went with the original.

All in all, it does what I want it to.

I haven’t installed it yet, but I did wire it to make sure that everything worked. The manual wasn’t included (slight disappointment), and it’s not easy to find online, but I was eventually able to access enough material to get it all figured out. After I do install it, I’ll update my review, but for now, everything seems to work, including the Alexa feature, so I’m happy. One more disappointment, and it was my own fault for not researching more, is the LED’s only offer different tones and levels of white and no colors. I’m OK with that though.
