    Forgotten Man
This is a screwball comedy about pride and social standing. Godfrey (William Powell) is picked up off the scrap heap by Carol Lombard who is looking for a "forgotten man" as part of a ridiculous treasure hunt of the rich. Homeless Godfrey takes a job as the butler in this insane household that consists of a down to earth maid, a disinterested father, an alcoholic mother, loopy Carol Lombard and her vicious sister. Oh, did I mention the protégé of the mother? At one point he does a passing impression of an ape with an orange peel in his mouth. Godfrey is equal to the trails and tasks, such as: quieting pixies, avoiding arrest for stolen jewels, serving dinner while drunk, and the amorous attentions of both sister! I loved the insanity of it all. Carol Lombard was a little over the top at times but William Powell and the persevering maid balanced that nicely. Yes watch it. You will learn to do a nice ape impression and that can be valuable when conversation lags.

    casts a spell
My wife loves it. Having all 8 movies it is fun to see the actors grow up and their acting abilities change. Very clever story with lots of humor.
