Read the book now see the film
I find this book one that I read over and over again. So I was delighted to find the DVD which is a good retelling of the book story. Many tell me they find the book hard to follow so get the film and then read the book. Both are great.

Complex but human.
This book centres on the second Intifada in Israel and tells in a very human, balanced way the effects of the violence on the ordinary lives of the Jews and Arab communities. It also sadly shows how effectively the press is controlled at times. Its a sad book for anyone who lives this land.
