Well made and nicely finished

I have not used them yet, but these cutters are neatly and accurately finished and brazed on to the shaft. The bearing is concentric and has no detectable runout.

Sony DCR-DVD403E Camcorder

This is an obsolete model but is very well made and the manual can be downloaded from a site which can be reached ultimately via Sony. Unlike modern camcorders, it does not have an HDMI output, so the video output is just the PAL or NTSC video standard: it will not produce a high definition movie. The facilities for computer control (which I was interested in because I wanted to use the camcorder on an optical microscope and not touch the buttons) are very limited.

Ladder that could save your life

I bought this ladder because conventional step ladders are not safe for e.g. changing bulbs when you have a high ceiling. It is much better made than normal step ladders, with a taper that gives you a spread base and strong lightweight aluminium construction. Measure your ceiling and if you can accommodate this extra-high ladder ( remember the height is slightly less when it is open) buy it and do not risk a serious fall. Remember: never stand on top of a step ladder! Delivery was prompt and there were no problems with the purchase.
