Well designed and illustrated, informative introduction to the Boer War
A well designed and illustrated introduction to the Boer War. Well structured with short chapters and outline chronology of the war. Pictures and illustrations have been well selected.
A good starting point for any reacher.

Well worth it, a good read, well illustrated
Nice, well illustrated booklet about the building of thse dams. A good buy! Some good illustrations of both the workers, their machines acommodation and the construction process. A handy guide if visiting the area to see how the dams were built. Most illustrations in black and white, some maps and drawings.

Well worth a read!
Dorothy Whipple lived in Nottingham and has written several books which refer indirectly to the local area. She has an 'easy' style and this book is easy to read, goes into a lot of detail and is very enjoyable.
