Produces data transfer errors

It is easy so assemble and should be plug and play and all required components are included (short USB3 cable, enclosure, manual)
The case is itself is simple plastic holds the disk well and assembly is tool less.
The plastic doesn't distill much confidence and I'd expect that it cracks quickly in daily usage.
Unfortunately on an USB3 host the disk is recognized but errors are encountered when the disk is used (device doesn't respond or resets). The disks tried were SSDs (Crucial and Samsung) and they work with an different SATA-USB3 adapter perfectly on the same host ports.
For USB2 the result is worse because the disk isn't recognized by the host at all. Again the same disks with an different SATA-USB3 adapter work fine on the same USB port.
So 2 stars because the adapter doesn't function but it would be a reasonable enclosure if it would work (maybe I'm just unlucky).
