Plastic being plastic

Pretty Solid
I'm giving this product 4/5 stars. It's a great camera, but I don't feel it's perfect. Image quality is a little lacking, considering it's supposed to be an "HD Video recorder". I've noticed it doesn't handle lighting very well. The aperture on this thing is terrible. iPhones and Galaxies handle light better than this. The two stage zoom is okay, but holy cow. stand 20 feet away to record and the actual footage will look like its 40 feet away. I understand the wide angle lens is certainly playing a role in this shrinkage.
When it comes to audio, this thing is pretty darn great. Sounds just like a live condenser mic. Picks up everything, which is wonderful. Very crisp and clear diction. No muddled sounds. Great gain controls. Very controlled clipping when the audio does happen to clip. I purchased this mainly for the audio capabilities, so all in all, I'm very pleased. Just wish the image quality was a little more up to date.

Solid alternative to name brand covers
The handle holes on the side seem to be slightly out of place, but this doesn't get too in the way of grabbing the handle comfortably. You can actually see this offset in the product listings photo. The materials are of good quality and should do a great job protecting my speakers from dings and scratches.
