Essential for tampering with tamper-proof triangular screw heads
Tamper-proof screw heads and the tools which fit them represent two sides of an arms race - there's a window of time when the tools for that head type are rare enough to be regarded as tamper-proof, but it passes, the tools become more common (e.g. torx, which became torx security) and then a new head type appears (pentalobe?). Infuriating! A red rag to a bull for hacker types.
In some cases there is some defensible reason to have different screw heads - i.e. to distinguish between the battery compartment screws which ordinary users should open and the rest, but if the item needs repair, you'll need to get inside somehow, and if you don't have the ability to make your own screwdriver bits, then you might well need one of these.
Build quality is good, but not amazing enough to justify the high price I paid for it. I would have been happier with a lower quality item at a lower price. I think the price indicates that the tool is still a rare/niche item, difficult to find, even in large tool stores. For this reason I answered "no" to "Is it good value?".
Actually, I bought two, one at 3mm and one at 2.3mm. Turns out that the smaller size is much more common for childrens' electronic toys (which is what I hope to fix), so if in doubt, get the smaller one.

Essential tool for triangular, tamper-proof screws.
A little expensive compared to similar-quality screwdrivers with more 'conventional' tips, but if you need it, the cost is not outrageous.
