Disappointing and atypical.
This was a poor selection of Dave Allen's best, and omitted nearly all his most priceless comedy acts that I was hoping for. Because thee was no comprehensive list of acts on the cover, I was reduced to taking a chance, but made a bad choice and was extremely disappointed; Nothing I was hoping for was included, and those that were were second-rate, and nowhere near his best, high quality performances. I was looking for a gift for someone who would have shared Dave Allen's humour at its best, but as I was not given proper information I did not proceed. It occurs to me that full details were deliberately omitted, in order to increase sales, which is hugely disappointing.

A good, easy read.
Max Lakeman wallows in the perfection of his marriage, unable to believe his luck in having landed a wife he adores and their two delightful children. So contented is he, that the very idea of adventure – even to the extent of taking a short holiday – is anathema to him. He wants to stay put, and simply enjoy his mundane, lawn-cutting job. Until a beautiful and persistent apparition threatens to shatter the equilibrium of his life.
It is another riveting tale by this talented author, whose humorous delivery and ability to surprise, excite and amuse at the same time makes it hard to put down.
