Possibly old stock??

After only 11 days I had to replace the tube, as the initial one split, then 4 days later the plastic wrist guard split also, leaving the two metal supports unconnected. Presently using gaffer tape as a replacement, not ideal. Overall I can only presume that this is either old stock , or there is a fault in this area !? Unable to send photo as my phone does not have this facility.
