The Famine Immigrants Collection of Volumes
This is a great resource for anyone whose ancestors immigrated through New York from Ireland during the years of the potato famine. It is helpful to know husband, wife, children's names when you search since many families of the same surname came over during that time. It's also important to know approximately WHEN they came over as there are seven volumes of this collection. It speaks to the sheer number of immigrants that entered from Ireland during those years. I have commented to my wife that there are more of us over here than over there.
