Bright image even at night
The unit does everything I had hoped in a dash cam. Does a very good job at night which is important as I am told that some cams are useless. Picture is bright and clear. It is important to be able to see and read the license plate of the cars ahead of you. That's where clarity of image is important. In Daytime the DrivePro 550 is excellent at reading plates. I haven't looked at much footage from my night driving, so I can't really tell you about plate reading after dark. The night image is very bright though, so I suspect that the DrivePro does decent with that task too.
The rear cam is rotatable on a vertical axis so it could be turned to view traffic on either side of your vehicle. This is particularly important if you have a blind spot on either side to capture those images in the event of an accident. The rear cam view is wide enough to be able to see what is next to you and even behind even when it is rotated to one side or the other. I think this is a good buy.

One of the BEST Faith Based movies EVER
1 of 1 found this helpful This was a Dallas Jenkins film. It is first class with great directing, casting, and execution of the story. Dallas Jenkins films are always first class. Earlier he directed the film, "What If" which was also excellent! Mr. Jenkins had some clever insights into inserting Faith based Truths into what could have otherwise been perceived as just another Sunday School message. The characters were so believable, it was unreal! You won't be disappointed with this one. How good is it? I bought eight of them to give to my Tuesday morning small group.

Manually Operated Calendar
This wasn't exactly what I thought it would be. The user must move the Black (Month), and the Red (Day) ball to set the correct date. Both balls are magnetically held in place once set. I was thinking for the money paid for this, that it somehow set itself. Ok, maybe this reviewer is kind of naive about this kind of stuff. You kind of feel like someone in solitary confinement putting "X's" on a wall calendar to make how many days you have been in the slammer, as you inch the red ball toward your release date! The magnetic ball idea is clever, but maybe not worth the price if you just want simple calendar.
