Great digital camera

I am a film photographer and had relegated digital tp phone camera photos due to digital’s lack of “soul”. I am impressed by the processor in this camera. The colors and monochromes are superb. It is bulky as most digital SLRs are but the grip is ergonomic and comfortable to use. A superb camera. Despite “old” technology, it is still relevant.

Nikon Nikkor AI-s 105mm F2.5 lens

Phenomenal lens!

I can see why this lens has a cult following! It is a wonderful lens that is sharp but at the same time can impart that soft out of focus background (bokeh) beautifully. I do not think you gain much by getting a 105 f1.8 Nikkor, this lens is more economical and a true classic. This the lens Steve McCurry used for the cover of National Geographic in 1985, the famous Afghan Girl photo.
