Not fit for purpose !

Digital temp. control is not fit for purpose ! My coffee maker requires water at 85 degrees, if I set for this the kettle stops, displaying 85, but the water in the kettle is about 95 degrees,I have to set it to75 degrees which takes 7 button pushes, and I then get 88 degrees.
