South Was Right!, The, Walter Kennedy, James Kennedy, Good Book
    20 Apr, 2016
This book should be mandatory reading in all American history classes It explains a lot about this time period that the standard history leaves out
This book has taught me more about the " war for southern independence " than I ever would have imagined. I hold a Ba in American History and have about 1/2 of an MA in American history ( both from New York colleges ) It was NOT a civil war. The south did not want to control Washington a civil war is when two factions vie for control of one objective. War crimes committed by The American military against CIVILIAN populations is glossed over in standard texts. This is NOT collateral damage this was a planned destruction of the Civilian population in Sherman's march to the sea. Facts like Grant owned slaves, Lee was opposed to slavery jump at the reader. This book has changed my opinion completely about the period. I always held Lincoln in high esteem. My eyes are now open to my complete ignorance about his diabolical nature. The facts are too many to enunciate here all I can say is " READ THIS BOOK "
