Still a great read after all these years
I've loved this book since I was a kid. It was written in the days when people still went on expeditions to find the Yeti, when young minds were full of wonder and possibilities of lake monsters, abominable snowmen and alien beings visiting us from far away in outer space.
I bought this book specifically to wind up my sour faced cynical sceptic friend, who gets a wee bit over-angry about such matters. I'm like "chill mate, get a girlfriend", it's only a book, and one which filled my young head full of stars, and I hope it continues to do so for kids all over the world for generations to come.
