Must Play GameCube Hidden Gem
2 of 2 found this helpful This game is an important piece of video game history. It’s one of the first horror games to scare the player through sanity effects instead of relying on a sense of uneasiness and jump scares. Some of the sanity effects are dated considering that the age of CRT televisions ended years ago, but I think it adds a certain charm to it.
This game truly was Nintendo breaking new ground for themselves since this was the first M-rated game they themselves published. Without this game we wouldn’t have games like Amnesia The Dark Descent.
