It is "whisper quiet" as advertised
1 of 1 found this helpful A renter complained that the existing bath fan motor was getting too loud for her. After failing to find an actual replacement motor, because the fan was too old, I found this unit online which was the identical size as the existing one. After installing it it was truly "whisper quiet". When the light/cover was installed it made a little more noise as the air passed through it but still fully acceptable to the renter.

Revive broken Bosch 11244E by using similar governor w/ manual control dial
I was able to use this to keep my Bosch 11244E working after the normal variable speed governor died, because mine was discontinued. I had to carve an opening in the outside plastic case so I could access the variable speed dial, but that wasn't too difficult.
