Great for a 78 years old beginner
As a recent returner to woodcarving after some 30 years away I struggled with hand problems to hold many of the tools I owned. This book was a revelation to me and gave me much needed confidence to make carving enjoyable again.

Just because it's modern doesn't mean it's better

A shot in the arm
Full of good ideas, hints and tips for all levels. Suffering from limited hand mobility I have difficulty managing large tools and bulky timber. The ideas in this book have recharged my enthusiasm.
