Great mod to my Miata
1 of 1 found this helpful The center console/cup holder in the N/C Miata is a joke. With a can of soda or a bottle of water in it you can't shift. If you close the retractable cover and use it as an armrest it's too low and is made of hard ribbed plastic. Very uncomfortable. This console pad fits snugly into the cp holder and the pad puts my arm at the exact height to make shifting the 6 speed so easy. The rubber is soft and actually IS an armrest. Although $42 is a little steep for a slab of custom fit rubber it's well worth it in the benefit it gives the driver (and passenger). I like the fact that they designed in the ribbing to math the door armrests.
