THEM HANDLES
There's nothing like from-the-factory sharp blades. Wife went to wash them before first use with one of those yellow sponges - ran the sponge along the blade edge and it cleaved right through the sponge on a single stroke. This is nothing we're used to (cheap grocery store brand knives). It's a step into luxury. And don't get me started on THEM HANDLES!

Not predrilled. But excellent build.
It is a fine part that appears to be just like the stock 1LE (never compared this one to other stock 1LE splitters). The finish was a tad on he rough side. There were no abrasions nor scratches; just seemed like it might need a coat of black paint to seal the deal. I did not happen to paint mine because I could care less. Also of note were the pilot holes for the screw points. I recommend using a drill bit slightly larger than the pilot, as you will notice there is NO room for play on the sides of the bumper facia. In the same breath, this splitter has 2 (maybe 4?) Pilots that would require drilling into the bumper facia that will be seen if he splitter is ever removed (along the bottom lip of the facia- approx. 45° angle). I did not do this. I made my own mount points slightly lower and utilized metal nut/bolts. This is strictly precautionary.
Other than the pilot holes, it is a simple install with the right tools. It holds up to Camaro speed standards. One last thing, I did have my first curb scare the other day (it may clear some curbs with a stock ride height, but don't take my word for that). Thanks to he PU, it did not crack nor scratch.

Overall quality is very nice. Great fitment. ....Can't tune well at all.
Obviously this part works for some people because AEM is still selling it. But this kit does not receive much cooler air than some of the short rams out there. Before you buy, make sure your tuner can make this kit work!! Or you'll be dealing with a nice little orange picture of your engine and have your foot on the petal to keep it alive.
