If you are a Taber fan you will not be disappointed by this book.
The late Gladys Taber has a loyal following. I'm surprised none of her 50+ books are in print today! This is sort of an autobiography of her early life, long before the Stillmeadow years, and how she was shaped as a child and young adult. I was impressed that this book, written late in her career, does not fall into the sentimentality that I sense in some of her earlier books. It's very matter-of-fact and concise.
