For more than 10 years I have been copying any Freeview tv series that are old, very old but essentially are British Entertainment into hard drives that can then be played on my other tvs or on my computer. EG Alf Garnets stuff to Shameless and Sorry.
They have all been programmed, copied, edited and saved using 9 of the original Sagecom DTR machines with either a 350 or 500 M hard drives inside and then transferred into external hdd. I have now had to curtail my copying hobby and daily entertainment because 8 of the 9 machines have knackered hard drives with different than normal wiring and are irreplaceable. The last one is retained for more editing, fixing and polishing the masses of programs I have "in the can" ( HDDs).
I have just picked up another 2 or 3 machines from an unusual Ebay sale and hopefully my hobby can be continued if these machines are ok but I am always on the lookout to buy working units of these recorders that have not been made for about the last 8 years or so.

Seems ok and apparently works but comes without operating instructions
Small, looks good but only has one tuner and no operating instructions so still learning how it works after 5 nights missing programs I want to watch. I have used stuff like this before but with no operating instructions it's a long learning curve and a lot of time wasted and tv missed in the process of finding out how it works.

Milligan at his funniest!
Read this book first about 50 years ago and nearly wet myself laughing. Bought another old copy last week (with browned pages) and in the process of nearly wetting myself again.
