Only for fans of The Andrews Sisters and Shemp Howard
I've always been a fan of The Andrews Sisters in their early days, so I ordered this DVD, not knowing quite what to expect. The visual quality of the DVD itself was average, meaning it wasn't a studio transfer, more likely taken from a reasonable quality 16mm print. The sound appeared to have been cleaned up though, and was good. The best number was "Underneath the Apple Tree" with the remainder of the songs being instantly forgettable. The story itself was pretty much carried by Shemp Howard, a much underrated actor outside of his 3 Stooges appearances. Dick Foran, a good singer but abysmal actor, always grates on my nerves! I can recommend this DVD for fans of The Andrews Sisters and Shemp Howard only.

Quality product at bargain price
Very good quality mattress at a bargain price. Totally different feel to my old regular spring mattress, the memory foam will take a while getting used to! Actually getting out of bed for this old bloke is somewhat difficult but no doubt I'll get used to it over time. I certainly sleep better than before.

Classic dark comedy of the Thatcher period
Peter Davison, David Troughton, Barbara Flynn and Graham Crowden were born to play their roles in this short series, short in the sense that it ran to only to only 14 episodes plus a TV movie sequel. Anyone who enjoyed the 1980s wouldn't have been a student at Lowlands University, a souless concrete jungle of buildings populated by sick students and mildly insane lecturers. Who can forget the pair of nuns? Highly recommended for discerning viewers. The transfer is satisfactory and there are a couple of commentaries which provide interesting information on the production.
